01Using this website

By using arclabs.digital you agree to these terms. You may browse, share and link to our pages for personal and business use. You may not copy our design, code or content for commercial purposes without written permission.

02Portfolio and case studies

Demo websites shown on this site are illustrative examples built by us. Any performance figures describe the standards we build to and are not a guarantee of specific outcomes.

03Enquiries and quotes

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. Any quote we provide is valid for 30 days and becomes binding only when both parties sign a statement of work.

04Project engagements

Our standard trades package is intended for clients purchasing services for their business. The scope, deliverables and any agreed variations must be recorded in a signed project agreement before payment. These payment terms form part of that agreement when supplied and agreed before the purchase; a specific variation agreed in writing takes priority. Other bespoke projects use the fees and scope in their own signed agreement.

Paying for a build purchases the agreed design and development work, not indefinite hosting, maintenance or a guarantee of leads or revenue. Nothing here removes rights or remedies that apply by law. If you are purchasing mainly for personal use, tell us before payment so any applicable consumer information and cancellation rights can be provided; bespoke work is not automatically exempt from those rights.

05Build fee and refunds

The standard one-off build fee is £500, payable in full before work starts. We do not begin design, development or project setup until payment has cleared and the project agreement has been signed. The fee covers the agreed bespoke design and development, project setup and resources allocated to deliver that work.

Once agreed bespoke work has begun, the build fee is non-refundable for a change of mind, a decision not to proceed, or cancellation or non-payment of the monthly care plan, subject to the safeguards below. The build fee and care plan pay for separate services. Choosing not to subscribe, cancelling later or allowing hosting to end does not, by itself, create a right to recover the build fee.

If you cancel before work begins, contact us promptly. Any amount retained must reflect work already authorised and carried out, reasonable committed costs or demonstrable loss, without double recovery; any unused balance will be refunded. We will explain deductions on request. If we fail to deliver the agreed service or otherwise breach the agreement, any refund or other remedy due under the agreement or law remains available. This is not a blanket exclusion of refunds in every circumstance.

06Monthly care and hosting

The standard build includes one month of managed hosting and care starting on the agreed launch date. We will confirm that date and the included-care end date in writing. Beyond that period, continued managed hosting and care require an active, paid care plan.

The standard care plan costs £39.99 per month, paid in advance through Stripe, and renews monthly until cancelled. Your checkout shows the first payment date and subsequent billing schedule. Subscription payments begin when you subscribe; if you subscribe during the included month, the checkout payment date still applies. The included month is not automatically an extra free month added to a subscription.

The plan covers managed hosting, SSL management, security maintenance, uptime monitoring and ongoing content and design updates to the existing agreed website. New websites, major redevelopment, third-party purchases and work outside the agreed scope require separate written agreement. No VAT is currently charged by ArcLabs. Any future price or tax change will be notified before it takes effect, with the opportunity to cancel before renewal.

07Cancellation and missed payments

You may cancel the care plan at any time through the billing portal where available, or by emailing hello@arclabs.digital. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period; care and hosting continue until that date. There is no minimum ongoing term. We do not normally refund unused days of an already-paid month for a change of mind, without affecting refunds or remedies required by law.

If you do not subscribe, managed hosting and care end after the included month. If you cancel, they end after the paid period. We will provide written notice of the service end date so you can arrange continued service or migration. Your site may then be taken offline; the build fee does not include free ongoing hosting or maintenance.

For a failed or overdue subscription payment, we will notify you in writing and allow 14 days from that notice to resolve it before suspending managed hosting and care. If payment remains outstanding after that period, your website may be taken offline until payment and reactivation arrangements are agreed. Suspension does not waive legitimately outstanding charges and does not itself entitle you to a build-fee refund.

You retain rights to content and domain names you own. Ownership or licensing of bespoke code, design and third-party materials, and any handover or migration work, are governed by your signed agreement. Ending care does not transfer rights that you did not purchase or require us to supply indefinite free hosting, updates or migration work.

08Payment disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect or the agreed work has not been delivered, email hello@arclabs.digital with your project details and concerns. We will review the agreement, payments and work completed and respond with our proposed resolution.

We may contest a disputed payment or chargeback using relevant evidence, including the agreed terms, payment records, project correspondence and work delivered. Nothing here prevents you from raising a genuine payment dispute, seeking independent advice or bringing a lawful claim. A chargeback request is not a substitute for determining either party’s contractual rights.

09Client portal

Portal access is provided to clients for the duration of their project and support agreement. Keep your login details secure and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

10Liability

We will perform agreed services with reasonable care and skill. For business engagements, and only to the extent permitted by law and where reasonable, our total liability arising from the disputed service is limited to the fees paid for that service. Any exclusion or limit is subject to applicable statutory requirements, including the requirement of reasonableness; it is not a guarantee that every claim is capped.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights and remedies remain unaffected.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
